My real name is Christiane. But when I was sailing, my first name was too long to shout commands to me in the wind and waves. So now everyone calls me Chris, short and sweet.
My background in magazine journalism – no, actually everything I’ve learnt in life – shapes the way I photograph weddings and portraits: with respect for others and a feel for their personal story.
